The purpose of this seminar is to explain the functioning of the renewable energy sector

in the Republic of Kazakhstan and operation of RES facilities in electric energy market.

In the course of the seminar You will acquire:

• general information on operation of the power system of the Republic of Kazakhstan,
• clarifications on legal framework supporting development of the RES sector, mechanisms to attract investment into the RES sector;
• procedure for selection of RES projects, including changes in the rules of selection as of 2019;
• special aspects of interaction with the Financial Settlement Center for support of RES, content of the PPA agreement (PPA), its features and guarantees to sellers, formation of reserve fund and procedure for indexation of RES tariffs;
• procedure of distribution of RES electric energy to conventional consumers;
• existing problematic issues of RES sector development and successful experience in this area.

The seminar is intended for kazakhstan and foreign companies engaged in and planning investment activities in the electricity sector of Kazakhstan, for organizations promoting principles of renewable energy, energy conservation and energy efficiency, as well as for specialists interested in electricity industry.

The lecturers of this seminar will be qualified representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Ainur Sospanova, Director of the Department of Renewable Energy, the Financial Settlement Center for the support of renewable energy sources LLP – Zamira Akhmetova and the JSC Kazakhstan Electricity and Power Market Operator, the auction organizer – Yerzhan Salkhanov, who are directly involved in this topic and have many years of experience in the field of electricity.

The seminar will be hold in Russian. Optionally, the seminar participants will be provided with simultaneous translation into English.

The cost of participation in the Seminar for one person is KZT 100,000.0 (one hundred thousand) VAT free.

Upon completion of training, a standard certificate is issued.
